The Shocking Difference Between Consistency and Intensity
Have you ever decided you are going to achieve something in a shorter amount of time than someone else?
If someone loses 10 pounds in 6 months, you are going to do it in 6 weeks.
If someone is going to save $1000 in a year, you're going to save $5000.
And if someone is going to learn a new skill in 2 months, you plan to it over a weekend.
So you set a plan in motion to do everything you can to force your way to the achievement circle.
You start.
And you put your blinders on, ignoring everything else in your life and direct 110% of your energy into the achievement of the thing.
That is what intensity looks like.
It is effective.
And it moves the needle.
But maybe...
Your relationships suffer because you don't have time to nurture them.
Your nutrition suffers because you can only eat quick meals that are prepackaged and ready to go.
Self care doesn't even enter into your mind because you are in hot pursuit of "the thing".
And you don't enjoy the journey because you are pushing so hard to get to the outcome.
It doesn't need to be that way.
What if you could maintain your relationships, health and self care while in pursuit of the thing?
In this episode we are going to explore another option called consistency.
And you are going to discover all the ways that plain old boring consistency wins the race.
Every. single. time.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- How to handle the psychological triggers that conspire against you
- The #1 thing that distracts you from staying consistent
- What drives the urgent nature of intensity and how you can manage it.
- How you might be suffering from feeling like you aren't enough
