#19: Permission to Suck: How To Deal With Not Being Good At Something

by Jodi // July 26

When you're not good at something you're vulnerable.

It's so much easier to be competent.

But the world is too big, and there are too many things to do.

There is just no way you can be good at everything.

But life is meant to be lived, and part of the fun is doing all. the. things.

So we need to learn how to do things we aren't good at.

Otherwise we stay stuck in the same routines and patterns.

And while that makes life comfortable.

It can also make it boring and dull.

And a boring, dull life won't bring your spirit alive.

Once you understand that it's ok to be a beginner again (something that is not taught to us in school), then it becomes ok to suck at things, by knowing you will get better over time.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How to recognize an opportunity that you don't want to miss (even if you are terrible at it)
  • The mindset you need to embrace that takes away the fear of being terrible
  • The secret to getting over the fear of failing when you start

Tune in as I share those secrets with you.
