I was listening to Jesse Itzler for a minute yesterday and he said something that struck me.
He said, “I want to be a finisher in everything because then I have things that nobody can take away from me”.
I like this line so much I might steal it. Finishing is everything. Finish your thoughts, finish what you start, finish your project, finish your challenge, finish that goal.
Hardly anyone ever “finishes”. Even your thoughts spin round and round with no resolution.
It is so easy to recount how many times you’ve quit on yourself. That diet you started? That book you started? Exercise? New Years resolutions?
When you decide to be a finisher, quitting isn’t an option anymore.
In the first video of my free training we talk about the importance following through.
One of the most important things we can do for ourselves is to have our own back and one of the ways we do that is by not quitting before we finish.
Deciding you will be a finisher takes away all of the questioning, doubt, and uncertainty of whether “this will work” and refocuses you on the real goal, which Jesse calls building your life resume.
What is one small thing you can finish?
What is one long term goal you would like to finish?
