I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude these days. Not because Thanksgiving was on the weekend, but because I’ve seen what happens when you aren’t actively practicing it.
I’m pretty sure most of you know the power of gratitude. Oprah says it turns what you have into enough. And it’s true. The benefits to yourself for making gratitude a daily practice are priceless and far reaching.
But what happens when you forget?
You might think your life is horrible and nothing is going right. You might hate almost everything that’s happening to you because your focus is on the hard parts.
You will probably feel like you have to do everything yourself and it will feel like nobody is helping you.
You are likely to be feeling a lot of stress.
But once you force your mind to look for what’s good and be grateful you will notice that people are showing up for you in ways you don’t even see, you will see that the things that aren’t working might be a gift, and your stress will start to fade.
All of a sudden your relationships improve, new opportunities come along, and things start to feel a bit easier.
There are a lot of parts to this, but just by changing your story to one that appreciates life and others you will find yourself in a whole new reality.
So what are 3 things you are grateful for?
