I think we need to pay attention to where we are at.
The general hysteria and panic seems to be lessening with the help of the leaders who have stepped up. (I wrote about the lead mare here)
We still need to really be cognizant of what we are sharing and saying and whether it is helping others, or if we are saying things because we are running from ourselves.
I learned a long time ago that if I address a difficult issue at times when I am not feeling peaceful inside, I am likely to regret it.
We don’t make good decisions when we aren’t in a good space.
If we are scared, we scare others.
If we are hurt, we hurt others.
If we are angry, we anger others.
Higher emotional intelligence means we process our emotions in a healthy way and we are careful about how we affect others emotionally.
Just like you can always improve a skill, or gain more knowledge, you can always be increasing your emotional intelligence.
Our world is seeking emotional intelligence just as much as it is seeking scientific data.
Nobody wants to live in fear. It’s awful.
So if you aren’t feeling at peace inside, wait to speak up loudly and influence others until you are ok.
If you don’t know what to do with the emotions you’re feeling inside, journaling goes a long way towards sorting that out. It’s become my favourite therapy. (I teach you how to do that in my free mini course).
Once you’ve got yourself pulled together, go slay the dragons, show up, and play bigger, because that is when you can make things better. And that is when you will have a positive impact.
When you are ok inside you think more clearly, you can see more solutions, your energy will lift others up, and you will make better decisions.
