As my kids grow older I find it interesting to see them grapple with “what they are going to do”.
As if any of us have that figured out in our teens.
Jennifer Lopez started dancing at age 5. Her first job was as a legal assistant, and she was dancing in the evenings.
Eventually she started acting, then singing, then did some tv shows (American Idol), then started touring on stage and now has a residency in Las Vegas. As a ‘side hustle’, started her own fashion line and make up line.
She’s now worth $400 million because she just keeps showing up and serving and entertaining in new ways.
It seems likely that if she was doing it for the money at one time, she’s not doing it for the money anymore. She already has those.
What is driving her?
Our natural tendency is to stop showing up and think we have done enough.
People like her are fascinating to me.
