You know that saying by some random dude named Einstein? The one that says, “We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them”.

That means whatever problem you have in your life you have to become a new you in order to truly solve it.

It could be any type of problem:

  • Your style of clothing
  • What you’re going to do on Saturday night
  • Keeping your space tidy
  • Managing your finances
  • Bad behaviour in your children
  • Looking after your parents
  • Your health or mobility
  • Finding fulfillment
  • Connecting with others
  • Leading a team
  • Logistics
  • Or any other number of problems you might encounter in a day. When we want to make a change or find a solution the only way is to find a new level of thinking.
  • Read lots to build new skills (its the cheapest and most accessible education). Show up. Show up. And then show up again. Practice. Become friends with failure. Be creative and try new (and occasionally absurd) things. Put yourself on the hook (because then you will do a better job). Talk about ideas with others more than any other subject.
  • We can’t solve our problems by ruminating, we solve our problems by becoming the person who has the answer.
