It seems this time of year brings all sorts of new beginnings. Some are not planned or asked for, and some are.

Whatever the case, the season is always filled with all sorts of emotions, and it’s easy to become caught up in the emotion and forget what brings us JOY.

Yesterday I was reminded that the small things in life can bring you JOY, but you must remember to immerse yourself into them and let the JOY flow through you.

I created a list of ten things that bring me joy, and just by doing so… I felt better.

I am planning to do a better job of enJOYing something on my list each day.

This is my list (in no particular order):

  1. Warm summer mornings
  2. Time spent at the barn
  3. Watching my dogs run
  4. 1-on-1 time with my kids
  5. Clean hair
  6. Blue skies and mountains
  7. Heated steering wheels
  8. Time spent outside (bonus points if it’s quiet)
  9. Live music (bonus points if it’s outside)
  10. Dancing in the kitchen
