I read a quote by Everwood the other day that started with “if you’re feeling frightened by what comes next, don’t be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind…

When I read this I wondered how in the world you embrace uncertainty.

I’m tired of not knowing what to do or how to do it on my own.

I remembered that Tony Robbins says we need an equal amount of certainty and uncertainty in our lives, if one is out of balance with the other we go searching for it’s partner.

If this is true, I knew there must be areas where I embrace uncertainty already, so I started trying to figure it out, and much to my surprise I’ve discovered it’s something I love to do, I just didn’t see it as such.

The Universe leaves us breadcrumbs to follow.

You can accomplish more than you ever thought you could by being fluid and open to guidance from the Universe; following the signs, allowing things to unfold as you go, and building momentum with daily action.

You almost always end up in an entirely different place than where you think you are headed when you start.

This is a beautiful thing.

When you accept your humanity and your limitations you realize you are only capable of imagining things you already know about, but the Universe will lead you places you could never have come up with on your own because you simply didn’t know what you didn’t know.

This is embracing uncertainty in the most wonderful way. It’s fun to see all of the places you can go, and it’s magical to look back and see where you came from.

All you have to do is keep showing up and allowing yourself to be guided.

The uncertainty comes from not knowing how you’ll get there and the certainty comes from knowing you’re headed somewhere better than you could ever imagine.

Certainty and uncertainty are balanced….just like Tony Robbins said.
