What I’m Reading Online:  Kate Rose who writes for the Elephant Journal, her writing is so poetic and her words melt like butter… definitely worth checking out.

What Book I’m Reading…Again:  A New Earth Awakening Your Life’s Purpose, by Eckhart Tolle…I will be reading this book over and over again for the rest of my life, there is so much in there about dealing with pain, being present, fulfillment, etc etc.  Oprah and Eckhart did an online study on each chapter almost 10 years ago, you can still watch it here…and should definitely do so.

What I’m Up To:  Prepping for the open mic night next week where writers of all kinds meet to read their work out loud… this will be my third trip and I’m wondering if people local to me would like to have an open mic night here.

Quotes I’m Pondering:  I’ve got two at the top of my mind this week.

“Writing about negative experiences and your feelings about them activates alpha and theta brain waves and can actually rewire neural pathways.”  I was reading another blog about the powerful effects of journaling.   I can’t begin to tell you how much writing this blog has changed me on the inside, but when I read this line I began to understand how…

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”   I used to think that this meant the things you intended on doing but never did…  now I’m wondering if sometimes good intentions can put you through hell.   My 3 day fast last week feels a bit like that.

What I’m Grateful For:  People.   Yesterday on my blog, I put a call out for thoughts on failure, and before long I had 2 fantastic responses from people who I have met through this writing journey… suddenly I was flooded with gratitude for all of the people who have shown up in my life and have been so supportive of me… what a wonderful way to start the day.
Please let me know what you are up to also.  Where are you at in life?   What are you working on or working through?   What’s resonating with you?   I really love to hear from and learn from you guys…
