I do love to share the good stuff in my life.  So every once in a while I ask you to indulge me so I can share my most recent favourite things. 

What I’m listening to:  Pema Chödrön, Coming Closer To Ourselves.  I subscribe monthly  to iTunes music and that’s where I found it.  It’s a 4 day live teaching.   I know she’s going deeper than I can because I have listened to it over and over and hear new things every time.  She’s so lovely.  
What I’m reading: I have read a few articles on stoicism and I am certainly intrigued and going to dive in more.  This article describes it if you are interested.  

What I’m looking forward to:  I have built some days into my schedule to “horse around” in the near future.  Not only will this be a wonderful break for my spirit, but there is so much to be learned about relationships and connection from horses.  I’m hoping to be able to share some neat lessons they might teach me.  

My favourite health food:  I don’t necessarily eat for taste anymore, I typically eat for health benefits. I did the Keto diet last summer and while I lost body fat on it, my body didn’t love it.  I still do a high fat diet, but I add carbs.  I bake a whole sweet potato and mash it with cream, cinnamon and ginger and keep it in my fridge and use it as a snack.  It has a low glycemic index which means it gives sustained energy, instead of the high and then crash that carbs usually do.
