Feeling Connected and Feeling Disconnected

There are times where we feel perfectly ok and in the flow of life.

Words come easily when we speak, our thoughts are clear, we breathe easily and can see things in a positive light.

We have copious amounts of trust, hope and love running through our veins.

Some people refer to this as being aligned with source, others refer to it as being in your power, I call it being plugged in.

As you do the work to heal yourself and your internal triggers, it becomes easier and easier to stay plugged-in even admidst the chaos that used to throw you into a spiral or take you off track.

When you aren’t plugged-in… you are “unplugged”, or disconnected from source, or you have lost your personal power.

You feel terribly not ok inside.  You don’t get the jokes you would normally laugh at, you feel afraid of things that you haven’t even thought about recently, your head and thoughts are muddled and unclear and you can’t come up with the words even if you do want to speak.

There are a few ways to turn it around but first you need to know, feel, and recognize the difference between how it feels to be plugged in, or how it feels to be unplugged inside of yourself.

The sooner you can determine that you are disconnected, the sooner you can work to turn it around and the less time you have to stay in that state.

This has been one of the single largest guideposts for me to keep myself in the flow of life.

Before I learned the difference between the two states of being, I was usually unplugged with a knot in my stomach, afraid of everything and not understanding why.  I was not able to express myself fully, not able to connect with new people or make friends and completely unable to trust in the universe and big picture.

The The Course in Miracles teaches, “The presence of fear is a sure sign you are trusting in your own strength.”

The truth is we aren’t powerful enough on our own to face the magnificence of life and the larger plan… as soon as we disconnect and begin to think we have to do it alone, the world seems large and scary.

But when we know we are not alone and we are supported by the universe… when we are plugged-in… that’s when everything flows properly.

You need to first be able to determine when you are connected or plugged-in and when you aren’t.

Do you know the difference?
