Learning a new program or a new way of doing things is hard.

It requires you to step out of your comfort zone and the way you see the world and step into a new way that is unfamiliar and shaky.

It challenges your worldview and your beliefs.

It’s a deep fear that we may not even notice, and yet it’s driving our actions because it’s scary to show up differently in the world. We worry about how we will be perceived and what we may lose if we change.

We are always more fearful about what will be lost, than looking forward to what we will gain.

But change and learning brings us into new circles, new opportunities, and fills in some of our missing pieces that we didn’t even know were missing.

If we can keep our eye on where we want to go we can get through the hard part. But without a vision we almost always stay in the same place.
