I’m participating in a blog challenge right now, but I’m not a very good participant. The first challenge was almost 5 days ago and I have yet to do it.
The writing prompt was What really makes you angry about the world?
As I’ve gone about my days I’ve been looking for things that really make me angry.
I have come across a few things, but I’m not big on ranting, I prefer peace over war, and to be quite honest knowing how much we grow during times of adversity hedges my anger considerably.
For instance:
I don’t like mean people, but I can see how they help you to figure out who you are and what you believe.
I don’t like thieves and robbery, but I can see how they teach us that we are still ok without our material possessions.
I don’t like violence, but I can see how communities of strangers rise together to protect from it.
I can get fired up and quite passionate about good people who don’t see their worth, who accept less in life than they should have. There are so many truly good good people in this world who allow themselves to be used, abused and unfairly taken advantage of day after day, and year after year. *end rant*
But because I prefer to be solution oriented and I already have many posts to encourage these good people to find their way out, to help them believe they deserve better, to encourage them to see the world differently and to give them new hope, it doesn’t seem like I would be fulfilling the challenge by doing yet another.
Alas, it seems this is going to be my fulfillment of the blog challenge writing prompt.
Do you think this counts?
