It surprises me to what lengths we will go to avoid certain feelings or emotions.
Avoiding embarrassment, rejection, shame, or loss can trap us or shut us down or turn us into raging lunatics to protect what we think is ours.
The more you challenge yourself to “do it anyway”, you learn that all of the feelings you were avoiding don’t hurt you and you survive in spite of them.
They are energy, and energy can always be transformed.
Choose bravery or courage.
Keep going, even if it feels bad inside.
Once you’ve done it, instead of avoided it, you feel so much better.
Your feelings matter, but they don’t have to take control of your life.
