“Can’t isn’t in the dictionary”.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t… you are right” – Henry Ford.

I’m sure you’ve heard both of these as many times as I have. They have been used and overused and yet I still hear people say “I can’t do this” or “I can’t take this” in reference to what is happening in their life.

Even if they don’t believe it, those words will send them into a panic.

“I can’t” comes from extrinsic thinking. You are allowing what’s outside of you to have power over you. It’s not helpful because your brain won’t problem solve or search for a solution in “I can’t” mode, it just panics.

“Yes you can” is the best response in those moments.

Say it to others or say it to yourself and watch how it changes the energy of the moment. (I wrote about where I learned this here).
