Maybe you have an agenda of the way you think things should go.
Maybe you have an idea that you think is the best and you don’t believe someone else’s idea is right.
Maybe you think you know what’s best for the situation.
So many times I have been there.
We were living from paycheck to paycheck, but we were self employed so our pay checks were sporadic.
Sometimes we would need to land a job so desperately to pay the bills, or to pay the hockey registration, or to get our phones reconnected.
When I would fall into scarcity thinking there was only one option, or when I would think about what I had to lose… I would cling to the only options I could see in front of me.
It always worked out somehow, but hardly ever the way we thought it should.
People that I thought I needed to be connected to, went away.
People I didn’t know existed showed up.
New opportunities presented themselves.
And so I learned to trust the greater plan.
I learned that it’s important to have ideas and dreams and wishes.
It’s also important to put them into action, but it’s critically important to not be attached to the outcome.
You can’t see the path when it’s yours.
All of the secret pathways and hidden doors haven’t been revealed to you yet,
Keep rolling, keep moving, keep choosing, and when it all shakes out, it’s better than the way you could have planned it anyway.
The secret is not being attached to how you think it should be.
“If you love something set it free. If it comes back it’s yours. If not, it was never meant to be.”
