When we become adults people stop taking us by the hand and telling us what to do next.
There is no handbook, there is no map, and there are no more “adultier” adults than you.
But, there are lots of problems to solve, and our job as adults is to solve the never ending, but always interesting, problems.
The only way to get where you want to go, and do what you want to do, is to be resourceful and to figure it out.
Lucky for us, we are in the information age and finding resources has never been easier.
Your job is to sort out who to trust – and then trust them enough to let them lead you where you want to go.
Do you need help building or repairing a business?
Do you want to train your dog?
Do you want to learn a hard skill like coding, or playing piano?
Do you want to learn soft skills like listening, or empathy?
Do you want to level up and be a better person?
There are unlimited opportunities to learn from people who have already found the path to get to where you want to go, and they share their wisdom freely.
Seek out someone with a commitment to service (they are becoming more and more plentiful) and you will become better just by listening to what they have to say.
And when you get stuck, buy what they have to sell. These people genuinely want to make the world a better place, and they are willing to show you the way.
