The more frustrating it is, the more easily we can get caught up in negativity and helplessness.
We become impatient that things aren’t moving as quickly as we would like, discouraged because things aren’t turning out the way we want them to and ultimately depressed about all of the things that are going wrong.
The more we focus there, the more we feel like failures and want to run away. We feel like hiding from the world and what others might think of us, especially when we can’t enjoy our own existence.
But, if you ever so slightly open up your awareness to be grateful for what is already in your life…it removes some of the pain.
If you can expand your awareness even more to count your blessings, and the pain lessons again and eventually shifts.
We all have struggle and frustrations, but we also have many things to be grateful for.
Sometimes you just have to take a moment to remove your blinders and look around you.
