“I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple. Find what it is that makes you happy, and who it is that makes you happy and you’re set. Promise.” – Unknown.
I’m a believer.
I believe in all things good.
The first time I read that quote I believed it.
I shared it with a friend and said, “look! It’s simple!”
And it really is.
We complicate things by listening to the chatter in our heads instead of our hearts, and then we run from the hurt.
We complicate things by worrying about someone else’s opinion and it’s hard to make boundaries around them.
We complicate things by making it all about us. It’s not easy to let go of the story you sold yourself, sunk costs, and emotional attachments.
But you could be happy if you kept it simple.
You could be set.
The question is, is that all you really want?
