We hold ideas in our head of how things should be or how we want things to be.
And thats a good thing, but it’s not quite enough if you want to create change or build a life you love.
In order to build a life you love, you must be able to see it.
That’s why vision boards are so powerful. They give you images to focus on. That gives you a place to go and keeps you moving forward.
This isn’t a new concept. Stephen Covey taught us to begin with the end in mind. But very few people take the time to sit down and really plan out where they would like their life to be in 10 years or 5 years or even 1 year.
They hope for what they want in the short term, but they don’t plan for what they want in the long term.
Just for today, take some time to create a vision for your future. Yes it might be hard to see from here and no you can’t know every detail.
But if you don’t take the time to figure out where you want to go, you surely won’t get there – especially in times like these.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish” — Proverbs 29:18
