You can be intentional about having a positive impact on the world, but you can’t control how other people will interpret your actions. You have to be prepared for them to not even notice.
If you are looking for accolades, kudos, and credit for what you are trying to achieve. It will only slow you down.
You need to find a reason inside yourself to make the impact you want to make.
Maybe it’s to build a legacy, maybe it’s to give you a purpose, maybe it’s because it’s who you’ve decided to be.
But no matter what it has to be because you choose to, not because you think someone else will be happy if you do.
It’s a wonderful thing to inspire others, to touch their lives in some way, and to leave footprints on their hearts, but not everyone will see it, most wont even notice it, and few will appreciate it.
Do it anyway. Not for them, but for you.
Just for today, take some time to decide how you want to show up in the world. Think about what matters to you and why. Then go ahead and act accordingly.
“They” probably won’t notice, but you can stand tall and be proud of what you’ve done. And at the end of the day, that’s what matters the most.
