I remember reading something one day, that challenged me not to settle. Especially when it comes to the small things in life. Those constant aggravations aren’t worth it.
It said, if the crooked picture on the wall bothers you, straighten it.
It the fingerprint on the wall gets your attention, wipe it off.
If it bothers you – fix it.
I took my daughter to the cell phone repair shop to get her cracked screen fixed.
She didn’t want to spend her money on fixing it, but I sort of made her do it. She was not pleased with me because she is a saver when it comes to money.
I told her that it was important to look after her things, she has enough money to fix it and so she should fix it and not put up with a cracked screen.
Did I mention she wasn’t pleased with me for it?
Well that only lasted until she got her phone back with a new screen and a new screen protector.
Then she said, “mom its really nice to have a nice screen on your phone”.
Yes hunny, you should not settle.
Just for today, fix up all of the things that are bothering you.
Don’t settle, don’t minimize, and don’t put up with things that you don’t have to.
You are worth it.
And the little things that bother you, don’t need to bother you.
Just fix it up.
It makes a difference.
