My first baby was born on the last day of March.

He was 6 weeks old when I got to celebrate my first Mother’s Day as a mom.

I thought those first 6 weeks were the hardest…turns out I was wrong.

Today I am celebrating my 18th year of Mother’s Days.

I am lucky enough to know the joys of being the person someone looks up to, relies on, is comforted by, looks to guidance for, wants validation from, and loves to have show up.

I have loved every single minute of being a mom, and since I feel like I don’t get to “be” a mom to all of my kids, it makes me appreciate all of those moments a little more.

I’m not sure if this will be a “happy” Mother’s Day, but thats not really my focus.

Today I feel lucky.
