Each animal has its own personality, and when it comes to humans they are typically quite curious as long as they’ve been treated with respect.
Animals genuinely want to please you, but if you don’t understand how to communicate in their language, they don’t understand what you want.
We like to project our human feelings onto animals, and people look at this as resistance in a horse hat has lost respect for you, or craziness in a horse that is scared.
Certain human personalities bully their way into training a horse to get what they want.
If a horse has been forced into submission and never allowed to express itself, eventually it will lose its curiosity for life, barely be able to move its feet toward, and become almost unresponsive to people.
It will become stuck.
Getting the horse “unstuck” is a long process of pushing them forward (which is exhausting because they literally believe they can’t do it), rebuilding trust, and encouraging them to express themselves.
People become stuck also.
Signs you are stuck:
- You feel depressed or hopeless to change your situation.
- You don’t feel safe to express your true self.
- You feel physical pain in your heart.
- You feel dread for life but can’t make a change.
- You can not make positive change in your life because of fear.
- You think about a certain issue relentlessly with no solution.
- You feel trapped.
- You are more concerned with someone else’s well being than your own.
The only way to break through the stuckness is to get moving.
Deep down you will know what the real issue holding you back is, but if you aren’t ready to admit that to yourself yet (and you might not be) then just get moving forward.
Push yourself forward in any direction at first, and keep going … but pay attention to your thoughts and feelings.
What fears keep resurfacing?
What stops you from moving forward?
What excuses or solid reasons hold you back?
It won’t take long before you find the reason your feet are glued to the ground.
Once you uncover it, you will need to start researching ways to change the energy around it, or to find a new lens to look through… this is the part that takes time.
Read books, blogs and articles for other perspectives.
Talk to people.
Most importantly believe in your heart this is another way.
There is always another way, the hard part is to find it, but that’s just part of the journey of life.
