I find it interesting that we try to put our best foot forward when meeting new people.
Of course we want to impress them.
Of course we want a good first impression.
And likely we want to be seen.
But even though that’s where they might start, that’s not at all where relationships are deepened.
It’s the human aspect that makes someone interesting.
It’s admitting your weakness, and opening your heart.
It’s sharing your fears.
In the end the most impressive thing about someone is that they are willing to show up and try.
That’s where relationships are built.
Too perfect doesn’t allow for connection.
