We spend so much time trying to protect our people from emotional heartache and pain because it’s hard to see someone you love feel like they can’t handle life or have a broken heart when you are empathetic.
So we keep trying to save the day, to wash away the tears, and to make their life easier.
But the most difficult people to connect with are the ones who “don’t know” because they’ve never seen or been through anything hard.
You can have people who are perfect and barely scarred, or you can have people who get it.
It seems like if we could let our people walk their path in life, whichever easy or hard one they choose, and spend our efforts on teaching them through example how to live open heartedly and lead with love they could weather the storm.
The safe place to land might be most beneficial if they knew they would always be greeted with open arms and warm hearts.
It’s always the safest place for me.
The largest emotional pain always come from a closed hearts and disconnection.
The best way to save someone isn’t to protect them, it’s to teach them to move forward with an open heart.
It’s also the best way to save yourself.
