When I first began writing, I wanted to sound smart and full of wisdom, so I would write things to reflect that. Things that must have been impossible to read.
I was writing for my ego, instead of for the generous people who showed up to read what I had written.
It was totally over complicated and muddy and full of big words.
Keeping things simple is hard because you have to peel away all of your layers of arrogance, grandeur, expectations, emotions, excuses, and rabbit trails.
But when you show up with a stripped down version of you, people can relate.
Because it’s simple enough they can recognize it, and use it.
