Tapping Into The Sub-conscious Mind

I was listening to someone talking about how they engage their sub conscious mind to figure out problems, knowing that it has a wealth of information their conscious mind doesn’t have access to.

He said that he will take something in, and then leave it and not think about it anymore for a period of time.  When he goes back to it, he sits with it and see what comes up.

I’ve tried this a few times this week.

I’ve listened to speakers, or had conversations with people, or read something and not put much thought into it right away, but consciously filed it to think about later.

It’s been an interesting journey.

I think maybe I need to set a specific time aside for it, it’s been waking me up in the morning or the middle of the night and I would prefer not to have that happen.

When whatever it is pops back up in my mind, I sit with it and listen to the rambling in my mind.

Usually by this point, my mind has linked pieces of information and connected some dots and I am seeing things I wasn’t seeing before.

What a fun little tool that saves a bunch of mental energy.

I encourage you to try it.
