I haven’t wrote about gratitude in a long time.
When I first started Feature Fridays my intention was to always put what I’m grateful for at the end, and I completely forgot on the last one.
Now gratitude gets its own post…
They say gratitude turns what you have into enough and it has certainly played a key role in my survival.
I can spiral down into a black hole of misery pretty fast when I let my mind wander down the path of what’s lacking in my life.
There is never enough money, never the nicest decorations in my house, never the newest technology, never the nicest vehicle in my yard and never am I being waited on or taken care of by someone else.
From this space I can get awfully pouty or resentful for the life I don’t have.
But if I take a look around, I see I have stuff everywhere. I have animals around me. I have a family who loves me and I have 3 precious souls who live in my heart and call me mom… 2 of them literally walking by my side day after day.
As if that’s not already enough, I have many incredibly caring and supportive people who pop in and out of my life everyday. I live in a wonderful family oriented community that’s in a safe and beautiful country that has clean air and fresh water.
The best part? Everyday I get to wake up and try again to do life stuff a little better than I did yesterday.
I am beyond grateful for all of it.
Tony Robbins talks a lot about his morning gratitude ritual. He says you can’t feel fear or anger and gratitude at the same time, so he starts everyday focusing on what he’s grateful for.
If gratitude wipes out fear and anger..,that means gratitude is the antidote to everything bad in your life.
Have you counted your blessings lately?
