You can’t have clarity if you don’t understand the parts and pieces.
Clarity comes from breaking down the big picture into pieces. Then making sure you understand the purpose of each piece.
Not everyone wants to do this because it feels like work, and it feels like you’re going backwards.
But until you have all of the pieces to the puzzle, you can’t finish it.
There are no exceptions to this rule.
It goes for business, sports, relationships, personal growth, fashion, photography, nutrition, and horses.
Learning what clarity feels like is the first step to mastery, and mastery begins with the basics. “Back to basics” is a real and very important thing.
Don’t overlook the basics because they appear to be for beginners, they aren’t. This is the worst place to be lazy because it affects every other part. The basics are to be returned to over and over again. They are the foundation and where the framework is built.
Study the basics, obsess over what they mean, learn their importance, their function, and framework, break them down into the smallest steps possible.
The basics will help you figure out what matters.
