The second you compromise on what’s important to you, you change your energy and weaken you’re self.
When you are asked to do something you don’t agree with, you have to shut down the part of you that believes in doing what is right.
No matter how small it seems at the time, or who is asking you to it, or what the big picture is, it weakens you to compromise on what matters.
Of course you can still choose to make the compromise, but you should realize the consequences first.
They are bigger than you think.
And recovery is harder than you think.
You will resent the person who asked you because you are missing an important piece of yourself. It do don’t strengthen a relationship, it eats away at the integrity of it. It will leave you angry and compromised.
What matters to you always matters, don’t kid yourself into thinking it doesn’t.
