We are being put into situations that are unfamiliar to us. We are watching the freedom we took too much for granted slowly shrink away.

Our dream is to be set loose to return to a life that is better than the one before. One where we are free to do what we want, where we appreciate people, connection, and gathering more, and that everyone has more money and security and mental capacity from the break.

Our fear is that this all might last longer than we can hold on for. That our payments will be bigger than our income. That we will lose what we have been working so long and hard for.

Our suspicion is that there is something else happening and we don’t have all of the information. That the big boys are playing a game and we are the pawns.

Our enemy is the fear and the panic and the continuing loss of freedoms. They are causing us pain, disconnecting us from the people we love, trapping us within our borders, and threatening our sense of security. We are angry and frustrated by what it is doing to our families, to the economy, and to our livelihoods.

And we are all pointing our fingers at the other people who are hoarding, panicking, spreading fear, shaming, and making decisions we don’t agree with, and we have a secret fear that we might be failing or making the wrong decisions.

It is fascinating to watch the cycles that we are all going through as a collective as we move from one to the other.
