I posted a meme on my Facebook page yesterday that said “we all eat lies when our hearts are hungry”.
The lies we tell ourselves to make what is happening ok, because we are trying to fill an emptiness inside ourselves, are the hardest ones to unravel.
I’ve learned this the hard way. Those lies might taste good going in…but they are poison inside of you, dimming your light and eating your self confidence creating all sorts of self doubt and insecurities.
When we are looking outside of ourselves for fulfillment, our means to get there can never be integral because we are taking something that isn’t ours.
Boundaries and self love are the answers I’ve painfully found.
Keeping your body, spirit and mind fulfilled, and not allowing others to take more than you want to give and deplete you. Then everything outside of yourself is a compliment to your life instead of a necessity for life.
