It is so important to pay attention to the voice in your head.
It will get you into more trouble than any other thing in your life.
95% of the thoughts we think are repetitive.
95%!!
We are creative creatures… but apparently only 5% of the time.
That other 95% can turn into a rant pretty fast if you are unhappy, or frustrated, or uncomfortable. But its not helpful – its just the same thing over and over again.
In my meditation I am constantly letting go of the thoughts I’ve already had before, and there are a lot of them.
Is it really that helpful to keep repeating the same thing over and over in our head?
No. So you must be very careful.
That voice in your head will change the whole course of your life, it will ruin relationships, it will have you acting unpredictably to others, and it will sabotage your dreams faster than anything if you let it get out of control.
A rant is only helpful when you are trying to make change happen. When its hard work to put the words together but you see something that needs to be fixed and you have come up with a solution.
Rants can help other people see, but they have to be thoughtful and strategic.
Ranting in your head about what you don’t like is easy, but it makes things worse.
The problem with ranting is that if its not legislated by you, it can suck you in and make things worse.
