At the beginning of the year it’s pretty normal to be pushing yourself and in your head about all of the things you want to do.
You have probably been thinking about all the things you would like to change, clean up or add to your current reality.
Pushing yourself to burnout isn’t going to help. It’s going to make it harder to do what you want to do and achieve what you set out to achieve.
Almost always in the past I have hit burnout and then abandoned my plans. I become so weighed down that I can’t even get my normal day done, let alone adding the new things.
This year I’m doing something different and It’s making a difference.
The burnout comes from fear. Fear of not knowing what to do, fear of change, the uncertainty that comes with it, and fear of rejection, and making mistakes, and making the wrong choice.
Normally I push myself to get through it and I don’t ever admit to myself that fear is at the root of it all.
But when you push yourself you aren’t honouring yourself, or listening to the messages, or healing. You have to shut it all down.
It becomes heavy.
If your energy levels are low, and your ambition is lacking then you are already there.
Self love is the cure.
And loving yourself means all sort of things. It means rest, it means patience, it means support and belief and optimism. But it also means validating, and surrendering, and doing what brings you joy and makes you smile.
Your heart wants to be happy. Your spirit wants to play. And your goals and dreams aren’t so important that you lose your light in the meantime.
Self love my friends.
You are responsible for loving yourself and nurturing yourself.
How will you remember your spirit?
