I don’t know when you start calculating.
Somewhere along the line you start adding up all of the reasons you aren’t going to be ok if you do that. And you decide not to do that thing yet.
You are calculating all of the ways you need to be comfortable in order to step out of your comfort zone or show up in the world. And there are never enough.
You didn’t used to do that.
You moved out before you had enough money and you didn’t even know it.
You had kids before you could afford them, and you bought your first nice vehicle without knowing what other bills might pop up.
At some point you have to stop calculating and trust that you will figure it out… just like you used to.
You’re going to feel like you’re being tested. And you’re going to come up against challenges.
There will be situations you don’t have any choice but to go through.
You are going to be stalled, and stuck, and afraid sometimes.
You are going to want to quit, to turn back, and you will wish this wasn’t happening, it didn’t happen, or that there was some way to escape what is happening.
This is normal.
Do not stop.
The good stuff is just around the corner. Just stop relentlessly adding and subtracting.
It will work out because you are not going to let it be any other way.
