How long do you wait for a late bus to show up before you decide to do something about it?
They say patience is a virtue.
But I am learning I need to be careful. Too much of anything is bad.
I wouldn’t wait an hour for the late bus, but I will wait months or years for someone else to get the joke, before I realize they will never get the joke.
There comes a point, when you’ve waited too long without taking any action or you fail to keep pushing the issue, that you are now apathetic.
Too patient.
Patience is a virtue because it’s hard, but also because there is nuance to it.
There is a fine line between allowing things to unfold the way they need to, and moving things forward to keep them from getting stuck.
