The major lessons I’ve learned from listening to Oprah over the years:
*Gratitude turns what you have into enough.
*Everyone has a purpose in life, you need to make the most of yours, no matter what platform.
*When you don’t know what to do, get silent, be still, and listen.
*Your legacy will be every life you touch.
*Surround yourself with people with the dreamers and the doers.
*Whatever you fear most has no power, it is your fear that has the power.
*Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.
*Asking “what is this here to teach me?”
*Forgiveness is giving up hope that the past could have been different.
*Everyone has a story
*”I want to be so full I am overflowing, so when you see me coming I’m going to make you proud. I’m going to be overflowing so that I can share with everybody else. I am going to be so full, and I am going to own the fullness without ego, without arrogance, but with an amazing sense of gratitude that I’ve been born at a time that I am female on the planet and I have the great pleasure to fill myself up.”
I have nothing but admiration and respect for who Oprah is and what she has done and overcome in her life.
What an incredible and inspiring woman
Oprah is in town tonight, and I have tickets to see her. I can’t wait.
