What Are You Adapting To?

Until I was in my thirties I had never been to a gym or engaged in any type of scheduled exercise other than yoga. I had never really struggled with my weight, and food had never been important to me. I’ve always been an eat to live person, not a live to eat person.

When I started regularly going to the gym I was amazed at how quickly my body adapted to its new and foreign routine. Within a couple of weeks I was starting to notice strength and changes in my body. Within a couple of months other people were starting to see it too.

The more I knew I could make change, the more I wanted to make positive change. I started researching diet and healthier choices and started to make a conscious effort to clean it up. Over time I watched more subtle changes happen, like the yellow tinge in the whites of my eyes disappeared and my skin started to even out and glow.

I learned that garbage in really means garbage out. The better I felt and expected to feel from making healthy choices, the more I noticed the way unhealthy choices affected my energy levels, brain fog, and aches and pains in my stomach, joints, and muscles.

This is the way life works in every aspect.

We are extremely adaptable creatures and we adapt very quickly to our environment, not only the ones we want to, but to everything.

This is an incredible asset that you can leverage if you stay consistent, but will also drag you down if you don’t pay attention. Low energy people, places, thoughts, language, and food will seep into you without you even noticing it because you adapt to everything.

Low vibrational choices will show up in our health, our relationships, our ambition, our peace of mind, and our output into life. It’s not a matter of deserving better, or not deserving better, life is always a reflection of the choices we are making,

The more I refine and try to make healthier high vibrational choices, the more I’m learning that when the wheels start to fall off, it’s because I’m once again neglecting a particular area.

Life isn’t supposed to be about suffering.

When we notice a pattern of repeated suffering in our life, whether it be our health, our relationships, or maybe our lack of inner peace, it is a reflection of our choices and how we are adapting to our environment.

Learn what healthy feels like. Healthy choices, healthy thoughts, healthy food, healthy kitchen cabinet friends, and healthy language.

I promise you will adapt to it quickly, you are amazing that way.
