What if you knew it would work?

I often wonder where self doubt comes from? Things will be going great and then we wake up full of doubt and literally nothing has changed.

I have noticed that self-doubt can cause us to make drastic changes and keep us starting over, back at the beginning.  It makes us hyper sensitive to the results, or lack thereof, and puts us on an emotional roller-coaster.

When you are new to something, it doesn’t mean you can’t be successful at it… unless you carry on doubting and self sabotaging.

“Proceed as if success were inevitable.” – anonymous.

When you believe that you will be successful it’s a bit of a game changer. You only have to figure out the combination to get there, it makes the journey less stressful, and when self doubt creeps in, you disregard it.

This concept has changed my parenting, changed the way I showed up in the world, and certainly affected the choices I made.

But it doesn’t come naturally or easily. Every new thing I start I have to go through the self doubt cycle until I remember how to proceed again.

Thankfully this quote popped up on social media the other day and helped me to change my perspective.

If you believe you are already “there” then the path widens but the boundaries become more clear.
