I used to think there was a final destination.
When I win at the world show I will be the best.
When I am married I will have a little white picket fence.
When I have kids, I will have a big happy loving family.
When that ring goes on my finger, it’s never coming off.
When I learn how to do energy work, I will be a healer.
None of those things came true, I have never arrived.
When I get to where I thought I was headed (which hardly ever happens because…detours), there is always something else, someone else, another place to go, and more to learn.
I have learned (and I’m still learning) that waiting for “this” to happen so you can do “that” isn’t a good strategy, because the world is full of “this”… if you ever need proof that abundance is everywhere, keep waiting for “this” to be over.
There is always more laundry to be washed, there is always more meals to be made, and there are always more bills to be paid.
The time to do what you want to do is now, you just need to start.
Guess what?
The beginning of a new year is a great time to do it because the energy is right, we receive new light, and the planets are aligned for new beginnings.
There is no final destination. And the truth is, that if we ever got “there”, life would lose meaning and we would lose our purpose.
We can always be more effective, gain more clarity, have a deeper understanding and tell a better story.
We can always obsess over other people, things, obstacles and drama.
Or we can just start doing.
If life was free of obstacles, how could you choose “you”?
