Fear is no joke. It exists in all of us and it’s always playing a role in our lives.
I am always surprised to hear people throw out that they aren’t doing something because they are scared. That’s obvious fear and the easiest to detect. And therefore it’s the easiest to overcome.
It’s the fear that shows up as another emotion that’s the hardest to reconcile.
When fear shows up as anger, or resistance, or panic, or depression, or apathy then it takes more work to uncover.
And that kind of fear will rule your life. It makes your decisions for you and it boxes you in.
If we want to live at peace, with an open heart, and making a good impression on the world and the people we meet – then we need to be consistently exploring our relationship with fear.
2020 is giving us an opportunity to dig into our own darkness and heal. Whatever was nagging at us before has now become bigger and harder to ignore.
If you give up, you don’t get the lesson and you stay stuck.
Keep working through it. I promise it’s worth it.
