I want you to take a second a look at how you spend your days.

Are they fairly predictable?

Most people spend their time in very predictable ways. As a matter of fact they look forward to predictability. They want to be in routine.

The more routine your life is, the less effort you have to put in.

If you are trying to up your productivity because you are working on a big project and need to use your time wisely – then I agree. Make as much as you can predictable. Take away as many decisions as you can so they don’t wear you out.

But if that’s not what’s happening in your life right now, and you are somewhat numb and coasting, then predictability is not your friend.

Imagine someone walking up to you, and offering to give you the exact life you choose, but you need to spell it out with specifics and you had to do it within 60 minutes.

Could you do it?

I’m not taking about handing you $50 million dollars, I’m talking about a life you can be airlifted into.

You have to describe the house you live in, the vehicle you drive and the scenery you see.

You would need to describe the exact work you would do and the 3 most important things that you need from that job.

You would choose all of the people you spend your time with and the impact your life would have.

If you couldn’t do that in 60 minutes, could you do it by tomorrow?

I want you to know what you would choose because what if someone walks up to you tomorrow to offer it to you?

Anything is possible, so you should be prepared. Your life depends on it.
