When you are on a mission to find your happiness, to pursue your passion, or to follow your heart. It gets hard.
Things come up.
People push your buttons.
You feel stuck.
You come to the end of yourself, and you don’t know how to move forward.
You are being squeezed by life.
This is a critical point in time and I see so many people give in.
They betray themselves, or they self sabotage, and they give up on their mission.
I’ve been there a million times. It’s too hard to figure out and the situation feels impossible.
The problem with giving up on your mission, is that the mission doesn’t go away. The tug in your heart stays and it calls you back.
When it comes back, life will squeeze you and ask you the same question, “how serious are you about this?”
And you will be tested again.
I encourage you to push through the first time even when you don’t know how.
It might not be pretty, but you can refine it later.
But it will make a statement. One that says “I’m here to find my happiness, and I matter”.
You can figure out how to do it as you go… but you won’t figure it out by giving in.
You figure it out by getting resourceful, and scrappy, and asking questions, and being imperfect.
You start by saying no to whatever is squeezing you and you promise that no matter what you won’t give in this time.
You can have everything you want, but you’re going to have to figure it out.
