I’ve seen others feel trapped in situations because they are afraid of letting others down.

This is similar to wanting to please others.

We work so hard to keep others comfortable we forget that they have a life, and their own journey, and lessons to learn too.

Often we do more harm than good by trying to control these situations.

I’m not saying it’s ok to let others down as a practice. I’m just saying we can’t shape our whole life around other people’s feelings.

We are each responsible for our own journey. You can’t be responsible for mine, and I can’t be responsible for yours.

But if we are open and honest about how we feel, and what we want, we can make it work.

And if not, then that’s ok.

We can only do the best that we can do and that is always enough.
