As we were driving home last night my daughter told me she thought it was funny that her music app recommended The Beatles to her, she doesn’t listen to the The Beatles.

Then she remembered that one of the songs she had been learning in music class was a Beatles song and she had listened to it several times per day while she was learning it.

They say Artificial Intelligence will know us better than we know ourselves one day because it will read eye movements, and unconscious behaviour patterns better than we will (better Netflix recommendations?).

But there isn’t a computer that will know why we are searching up a Beatles song.

The why is something that is special inside each of us and it’s part of our human experience. It can’t be duplicated, anticipated or understood by a computer.

As computers start to replace people, there will always be places that we can’t be duplicated. Those are the areas we need to tap into to continue to offer value to the world.
