I try to stay open to little moments of inspiration. The small insights into ourselves or situations that come out of the blue, and guidance that is useful. Sometimes that’s where we find the real gems.

What a beautiful clear summarization of family.
We don’t always get to choose our family and so often we don’t understand our roles clearly. Family relationships get complicated because of expectations and our egos get involved.
Once you realize that the point of family is simply to have a place to belong it makes everything so much easier.
Everyone has a choice as to whether they want to be a part of the family, to belong there, or not. And whatever they choose is fine, they are welcome to be there because they are family.
All of the things that otherwise would make you crazy about someone don’t matter.
What matters is that we all belong in this family.
